Pufferfish ("we", "our", "the app") is a free-to-play mobile game developed by Ellis App Studio. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.
When you play Pufferfish, we create an anonymous account using Firebase Authentication. If you sign in with Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android), we receive your platform player ID and display name. We do not collect your real name, email, or phone number.
We collect your game scores, gameplay statistics (wave reached, play duration, coins collected), and timestamps. This data powers the leaderboard system.
With your permission, we use your approximate location (via device GPS) to place you on regional leaderboards (country, region, city). Location data is sent to the Google Maps Geocoding API to resolve place names. We store the resolved place names and slugs - not raw GPS coordinates.
We collect Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens to send push notifications (e.g., daily prize results, leaderboard displacement alerts). We do not collect device identifiers beyond what Firebase provides.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We receive confirmation of purchases but do not have access to your payment information.
Your display name and scores are visible on public leaderboards. We do not sell your data. We use the following third-party services:
Your account and gameplay data are retained as long as your account exists. Leaderboard scores are retained indefinitely for historical records. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us.
Pufferfish is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us.
